How does Yahya Sinwar think and make decisions, and what is his role in the Hamas movement?

Mohammed Nassar
After 24 years of imprisonment, the Palestinian military, security and political leader, Yahya Sinwar, was released in an exchange deal in exchange for the Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit.
The most dangerous decision that Israel and its military and political leaders regretted was the decision to release Yahya Sinwar, because this decision allowed the Hamas movement to obtain something more dangerous than a nuclear bomb. It was the personality of Yahya Sinwar that shaped the events since October 7, 2023.
Yahya Al-Sinwar, who stayed in prison for almost a quarter of a century, still thinks to this day as a prisoner, and expects that he is always under the surveillance of prison guards. He imagines himself, as some moonshiners say, as sitting in a cell, under constant surveillance from surveillance cameras installed in the prison corridors, and In the prison yards, he always imagines that Israel is watching him from afar, and it is assumed that every new person who joins the Hamas movement or its military wing is a spy sent by Israel, just as the prisoners of the Hamas movement used to deal with any newcomer to a prison cell, and scrutinize his behavior and actions. They never trust him.
When Yahya Al-Sinwar arrived in the Gaza Strip following the deal to release Palestinian prisoners in the prisoner exchange process between Hamas and Israel, he discovered that he had left a small prison to a large prison. Israel had turned the Gaza Strip into the largest prison in the world, and one of his close associates says that since his return to the Strip Gaza, in 2011 he began to think about liberating the Gaza Strip and liberating the Palestinians from the stifling Israeli siege.
In prison, there is always one form of conflict. It is the conflict between the prisoner and the jailer, a conflict of wills. The prisoner wants to break the will of the prison guard and the prison guard wants to break the will of the prisoner. He now thinks that he is a leader of the resistance in the Gaza Strip, as a leader of a group of rebellious prisoners. Since the prisoners do not have anything to lose, and this is the way the Palestinian resistance thinks now, it does not have anything to lose, and it considers any achievement, no matter how simple, to be a victory because it starts from zero distance.
The cheapest thing a prisoner has is always time. The prisoner is adept at wasting time and even looks for any way to kill time. For this reason, Yahya Al-Sinwar is prepared to remain in his underground bunker for years to come, and Israel may actually need a nuclear bomb to destroy this bunker located at a depth of 70 meters. Or 80 meters underground, and even if the tunnel is filled in, Israel may not be able to prove the killing of Yahya Al-Sanwar.
Most likely, Israel will lose this war, for no other reason than that it is fighting a group of former prisoners, and a large group of men who have a much greater ability to be patient than Israel’s ability to be patient, and perhaps for this reason Israel is adept at committing crimes against humanity, and War crimes against the Palestinians because they realize the impossibility of reaching the hideouts of the Palestinian resistance.
