Statement of the Supreme Security Council in Algeria

President of the Republic, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of National Defence, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, chaired a meeting of the High Security Council, at which Algeria reaffirmed its rejection of the systemic genocide committed by the occupying forces in the occupied Palestinian territories against defenceless civilians, said the Presidency of the Republic in a Communiqué.

After having reviewed the tragic situation of the brotherly Palestinian people and the systemic genocides committed by the occupying forces in the occupied Palestinian territories, Algeria reaffirms its rejection of such operations carried out against defenceless civilians, and its full solidarity with the brotherly Palestinian people, convinced in this that the radical solution does not lie in genocides, nor in massive displacements, but rather in the establishment of the State of Palestine with Al-Quds as its capital, on the borders of June 1967,” added the source.

Algeria calls on the international community to ” assume its responsibilities, in particular the Security Council, to ensure the protection of defenceless Palestinian civilians,” concluded the source.
